The Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI) is the federal law enforcement and counterintelligence agency for the Department of the Air Force. AFOSI's unique counterintelligence authorities are utilized to protect critical technology development, provide early warning threat information in theater, and execute offensive and defensive cyber operations to leverage against the challenges posed by our competitors in the era of the Great Power Competition. As a part of our counterintelligence mission, we collect threat information related to the Air Force, our aircraft, Airmen and facilities, and provide it to decisions makers who can then act in the best interest of the Department.
